in the playoffs are 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997 (to the finals), 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002
- this is the second time for McNeese to enter the playoffs as the No. 1 seeded team. the Cowboys went
in undefeated and the No. 1 seed in 1995 and advanced to the semifinals where they were defeated by
Marshall. in 1997 the Cowboys advanced all the way to the finals where they were beaten 10-9 by
Youngstown State. McNeese entered the I-AA playoffs ranked No. 6 in the nation
