Landers scores 4 TDs for James Madison in 35-7 win over Villanova

HARRISONBURG, Va. - Rodney Landers threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two more to lead James Madison to a 35-7 win over Villanova on Saturday.

James Madison (4-1, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association) extended its winning streak to four.

The Dukes jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead on Landers' 17-yard pass to Mike Caussin. Landers had a 9-yard TD run in the second, followed by a 1-yard run by Scott Noble later in the quarter.

Caussin also caught a 18-yard TD pass from Landers in the fourth and Landers added a 2-yard run later that quarter.

Villanova (3-2, 1-1) scored its only touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 5-yard run by Antwon Young, who went 15 of 23 for 124 yards and one interception.

James Madison had 507 offensive yards, and kept the Wildcats to just 201 total yards.

Landers completed 25 of 32 passes for 300 yards, becoming the school's first 300-yard passer since 2001. Matt LeZotte tossed for 376 yards at Villanova on Oct. 6, 2001.
