MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Joe Craddock threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to freshman Malcolm Beyah as time expired Tuesday night and Middle Tennessee State beat Florida Atlantic 14-13.
Freshman kicker Alan Gendreau added the deciding extra point after the Blue Raiders tied the game on the fourth-and-9 play.
Middle Tennessee (2-3, 1-2 Sun Belt) snapped a four-game conference losing streak, its longest since 1980.
Craddock finished 24-of-35 for 268 yards and two touchdowns. His first scoring pass was a 25-yarder to Patrick Honeycutt in the fourth quarter that made it 10-7.
DiIvory Edgecomb scored on a 53-yard run on the game's sixth offensive play to put Florida Atlantic (1-4, 0-1) ahead 7-0. He finished with 101 yards on 15 carries.
Warley Leroy kicked two 25-yard field goals for the Owls. The second gave Florida Atlantic a 13-7 lead with 1:15 to play.
