MNF DVD. Lions 35, Giants 14. Matthew Stafford threw two early touchdown passes to Calvin Johnson, and Detroit won. The Lions intercepted Eli Manning twice in their first Monday night opener since 1971. Matthew Stafford went 22 of 32 for 346 yards, and Calvin Johnson had seven catches for 164 yards. Eli Manning was 18 of 33 for 163 yards and a touchdown. Megatron went over 150 yards for the 13th time in his caree tied for 5th behind Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss and Isaac Bruce. Calvin Johnson tied Herman Moore's team record with his 107th straight game with a catch. :

Victor Cruz tore the patellar tendon his right knee while leaping for a pass on fourth down. Foles had 248 yards passing, Darren Sproles ran for a score. The defense harassed and pressured Eli Manning often, sacking him six times. Manning was sacked only seven times in the first five games before Connor Barwin (three), Vinny Curry (two) and Trent Cole (one) took him down. Brandon Graham and Brandon Bair sacked Ryan Nassib to make it eight for the defense. :

Tony Romo, DeMarco Murray is the first running back in NFL history to start a season with seven straight 100-yard games, breaking Hall of Famer Jim Brown's 56-year-old record. Murray ran for 128 yards and a late touchdown. Romo settled for three scoring tosses, Eli Manning had three touchdown passes, Gavin Escobar had his first two-touchdown game, and Dez Bryant finished with a season-high 151 yards receiving. Romo was 17 of 23 for 279 yards with an interception. :

And for the first time in his career, the candy came flying four times. Lynch rushed for a season-high 140 yards and career-best four touchdowns. Russell Wilson threw two interceptions, the Seahawks committed three turnovers, and Eli Manning picked apart Seattle's secondary in the first half. Lynch carried 21 times, but there was plenty of running to go around. Wilson added 107 yards on 14 carries and a 1-yard TD run with 5:19 left. :
